By downloading, installing, or using Yeoun, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Yeoun (여운, "the feeling that lingers") is a journaling application with optional AI-powered features that help users reflect on their experiences, track their well-being, and gain insights into their emotional patterns. The app stores journal entries locally on your device and offers premium features including AI-powered wellness check-ins, event detection, and pattern insights.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You agree to use Yeoun only for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations, or in any way that infringes upon the rights of others.
You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, or to circumvent any security measures, access controls, or usage limits.
Yeoun Premium is available as a subscription with monthly and yearly billing options through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
Free trial periods, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Yeoun is not a medical application and does not diagnose or treat any condition. The AI-generated insights are based on patterns in your journal entries and should be interpreted as reflective tools only. AI features require explicit consent before activation and can be disabled at any time from your Profile settings.
You retain full ownership of all journal entries, photos, and personal content you create within Yeoun. You grant Yeoun a limited, non-exclusive license to use your content solely for the purpose of providing the app's services, including AI processing when you have enabled AI features. We do not own, sell, or claim rights to your journal entries or personal data.
The Yeoun app, including its design, code, graphics, icons, illustrations (including Korean pattern designs and score flower artwork), and user interface, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without our prior written consent.
You agree not to:
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Yeoun is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
In no event shall Yeoun, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Yeoun and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
You may terminate your account at any time through Profile → Delete Account. Upon termination, all your journal entries and account data will be permanently deleted from both your device and our authentication servers.
Important: Account deletion does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions. You must cancel your subscription separately through your Apple ID settings before or after deleting your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms.
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Yeoun following the posting of revised terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.
